two lengthy new jubeat videos have made their way online from the location test in Taipei which shows more of the interface, songs list, and the harder difficulties.

for those of you who haven't been keeping up, this game works similar to elite beat agents. circles will appear on one or more of the sixteen squares. as the circles get smaller you must hit each corresponding square with the beat of the song.

Anime Central 2008 weekend schedule

Acen is less than a week away now, and just so everyone is prepared we're gonna let you know the schedule for our events over the weekend now, as well as a few requests from ourselves and our guests.

Friday [12:00pm-6:00pm] mydjsobad.com booth opens
This is when we officially open up shop for the weekend. We'll be giving away the NO+CHIN PROMO MIX 2008 CD starting at this time as well as selling all of the new and exclusive ACen merchandise we have lined up. We'll be located IN the car show area in the exhibition hall, adjacent to the dealer's hall, but not actually in it. We'll have DistorteD CS and DDR SuperNOVA 2 CS set up to play for those of you who want to come and just hang out.

Friday [9:00pm-??] HARDCORE SYNERGY
Explanation for the event at this point should be entirely unnecessary. Doors open at 9;00pm but if last year's turnout for the Soap Bubble is any indication, lines will likely be long. Plan to be there early if you want to get in for sure. This is located in the Hotel Sofitel which is across N. River Road from the Donald E. Stephen's Convention center.

Saturday [2:30-4:30pm] Artists signing/Meet & Greet
Located at the mydjsobad booth. This is happening because the artists have requested that we let everyone know that they DO NOT want to be bothered for autographs and pictures all weekend. We've set this time aside for everyone to meet at the booth and get a chance to meet them all and get stuff autographed. We will let it run a bit longer if the turnout requires it. I just want to reiterate:

PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER THE GUESTS FOR AUTOGRAPHS BEFORE THIS TIME
They'll be hanging out all over the convention center before this time, but please respect their wishes. You're more than welcome to go up and say hi and whatnot, but they really just want to have a good time and take the convention itself in as much as everyone else there does.

Saturday [8:00pm-9:30pm] Bemani panel
I don't really want to call this the bemanistyle panel as we've decided that it's really gonna act more as an excuse for as many people in the community as possible to get together in one room and just dick around on the convention's time. We don't have anything planned in particular so feel free to show up and leave as you please. We're still unsure of the location, but it will be announced and promoted prior to it happening.

That's basically all we have going on specifically. If I can get a schedule from the game room for the tournaments, I'll update this post and add them for everyone who's interested. We can't wait to see everyone there!

Everyday Shooter now available on Steam

If you do most of your gaming on the PC, then you likely missed out on the excellent Everyday Shooter, Jonathan Mak's music-driven twin-stick shooter that came out on the PlayStation Network months ago. Time for you to make amends, then, by opening up your Steam account and dropping nine bucks (until the fifteenth of May, at which point it goes up to ten!) for some exposure to one of the more creative takes on the concept. Get out there and get shooting.

I guess they will be $1 in the Sony Store because that is the same as the 360 version in price.

DDR World Record Event sponsored by Fox Broadcasting

With the release of Guinness Book of World Records: Gamer???s Edition more music game records are getting into the spotlight such as iamchris4life's Guitar Hero record posted a few weeks back.

Fox has now stepped in with a promotional event for the TV series "So You Think You Can Dance". The plan is to hold a dance-off with as many DDR players as possible for the world record of most people playing a dancing game simultaneously.

The event will take place at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles, CA May 19, 2008. Registration will be held on site at 3:00pm. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.

tvsquad.com is holding a contest which will sponsor the trip for two with all expenses paid for this event. Contest details here.

Do you see the Samba de Amigo boxart? Gamestop put up the image and you can see a red dot on the upper-left corner. That's the Pay to Play logo going on there.

The feature alone being in the game is enough of a rumor but consider the possibilities!

SouthPeak to Distribute U.S. B-Boy Title

Zukin Wars Episode 2

Ry19 of Arcadefuture.com and Brunswick hit me up again today with news regarding DDR SuperNOVA 2 AC. Now that the first Zukin Wars event is over, the 2nd one has been announced. Starting on May 22nd and running through June 5th, this should be the same as the 2nd Episode in Japan.

Seeing that e-Amusement is still only available in Naperville, IL I'm sure participation will be roughly the same as the first episode, but at least this time we have a bit of a heads up.

Also, please don't reply to this headline if you have nothing constructive to say about the topic. All of the "needs more e-amuse" and other negative statements have been heard more than enough, they don't need to be repeated every time we post something new on the subject.

GUHROOVY @ HARDCORE SYNERGY 2008

We only have about 3 weeks until the event itself and the announcements just keep on coming. Today we're extremely excited to announced that GUHROOVY (Akira Uchibori) will be playing a special Live PA set alongside labelmates DJ CHUCKY and NO+CHIN at HARDCORE SYNERGY 2008. Those of you that attended ACen last year know that he came along and hung out for the weekend, this year he's coming back for sure and getting on stage for what is no doubt going to be a very special performance.

As he doesn't play live very often, missing his set if you're in attendance definitely isn't an option.

Zukin Wars Episode 1 has ended!

The e-AMUSE event, Zukin Wars Episode 1, has come to an end unlocking L'amour et la libert??(Darwin & DJ Silver remix). ~~The song has been unlocked for all teams which seems odd as the event stated that the team with the most defeated dancers would be rewarded with the unlock before other teams.~~ (sorry this was confirmed to be false)

On a humorous note, SWORD managed to defeat 573 dark dancers at the end of the event~
